So, you think you could be interested in doing some modelling for us. No doubt you're wondering what's involved & are these guys for real? Well, for most of the girls you see on this site it was their first time in front of the camera too!
Sue & I specialise in photographing 'Action & Adventure Sports' (see www.fitchimages.com ) where our work is marketed worldwide by a large US based agency. We also undertake corporate and commercial photographic assignments.
We have a studio near Mudgeeraba on Queensland's Gold Coast, we shoot using high-resolution digital and film SLR and Medium Format cameras.
We tend to go for a more unconventional approach to our modelling photography; you could be painted in mud, wrapped in 'glad wrap', or just wearing bits of a bush we've just brought in from the yard. We also welcome any ideas you may have - anything goes - as long as it's fun!
FUN is the key word; we always insist on that, fun for you as well as us. We don't enjoy photo shoots when they aren't fun, and we know we certainly won't get any good images if you're not having a good time too. If you want someone to attend the shoot with you, we don't have a problem with that as long as their presence doesn't make you feel uncomfortable.
You must be comfortable being nude, provide ID to prove you are 18 or over, be prepared to sign a 'Model Release Form', and have a sense of adventure.
As for payment, most girls ask for images from the shoot to build portfolios, put on their web sites or to hang on their walls, normally known as Time for Prints (TFP). In the early stages of modelling it's a great way to portfolio build & gain experience with different ideas & photographers. In some instances we have paid experienced models for very specific shoots.
We are happy to meet up, have a coffee, and talk over any questions you may have, and discuss any ideas we may want to shoot.
Be happy!
Steve & Sue.
